The rules for using this website and for working with Ask LUUK. Where we can, each section has a plain-English summary beside it. Those summaries help you read the terms but don’t replace them.

Who we are
Ask LUUK is a North Carolina limited liability company (“Ask LUUK,” “we,” “us”). These terms apply when you use askluuk.com and when you buy our services.
If you sign a separate agreement or accept a written proposal from us, that document wins wherever it differs from these terms.

Using this website
You can use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. Please don’t try to break it, overload it, copy it wholesale, or use it to send spam.
What’s on the site is general information, and it can change. Links to other websites are there for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them.

Not legal or tax advice
Ask LUUK is not a law firm or a CPA firm, and we don’t give legal or tax advice. We keep books, run payroll, and prepare numbers and forms for you and your CPA.
When we prepare or file forms for you, such as 1099s, we work from the information you give us. You stay responsible for that information being accurate and complete.

Our services
What each plan and service includes is described on our services and pricing page at the time you sign up, or in the proposal we send you.
Plans have limits, such as the number of transactions, employees and contractors. If you go over a limit, we’ll check in with you first, then move you to the next plan from the following month. Work outside your plan is billed at our published rates, or quoted before we start.
In shortYou get what your plan lists. Going over a limit means a conversation, then an upgrade.
Fees and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Plans are billed monthly, in advance. Assistant and hourly work is billed for the time used, in 15-minute increments. Onboarding costs $500, waived on 12-month plans.
You can pay by ACH at no extra cost, or by card with a 3% processing fee. We may change our prices with 30 days’ written notice. A price change doesn’t apply to a 3- or 12-month plan until its current term ends.

Late payment
If an invoice isn’t paid when it’s due, we’ll send a reminder. If it’s still unpaid 15 days after the due date, we may pause work until it’s paid. Pausing work doesn’t change what’s owed.

Cancelling
You can cancel a month-to-month plan by giving us 30 days’ written notice.
3- and 12-month plans run for their full term. If you end one early, the remaining months in the term are still owed.

Refunds
Fees you’ve paid aren’t refundable, with one exception. If we end an engagement, we’ll refund the unused part of any fee you paid in advance, prorated by day.

What we need from you
To do the work, we need timely access to your accounts, accurate information, and answers to our questions. Delays or gaps on your side can delay our work.
We aren’t responsible for penalties, fees or errors caused by information that reaches us late, incomplete or wrong.
In shortQuick, accurate information from you keeps everything on time.
Your books and your data
Your books, records and accounts belong to you. They stay in your own tools, such as QuickBooks or Xero. We keep your information confidential and use it only to do the work.
We use AI tools for routine tasks such as sorting transactions and drafting notes, and a person reviews the work. How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy. Our own templates, checklists and methods stay ours.

Limits on our liability
We work carefully, but mistakes can happen. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost opportunities.
In shortIf something goes wrong, our liability is capped at three months of fees.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and email active clients about significant changes before they take effect.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
